Public Service Announcement…
I had intended not to post on April Fools Day because radio and the internet treat the day with the same gusto occasional drinkers use to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and Kentucky Derby Saturday. While on the subject, isn’t it fun to watch hip non-cigar smokers’ holding the rolled tobacco with the tips of their thumb and fore-finger? It’s a cigar, not the Holy Eucharist. Talk about a game that has long lived past its prime. Euchre was the preferred pastime of the boys during high school lunch period. The girls may have been playing it also, but we would not have known since the female students had “separate, but unequal” accommodations on the campus. I’ve never seen a nun smoke a cigarette. Some must have torched a few Luckies or Chesterfields.

Maybe they smoked these, but I doubt it.

The Children of Fatima could have been a great marketing tool
after the baseball demise of Joe Jackson in 1920.
