Live! From Tehran’s newest comedy club–YOU’RE KILIM ME…

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

The Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, brings down the
house with his much requested impression of Maynard G. Krebs,
Dobie Gillis’ wacky Beatnik pal. The audience screamed”WORK!?”
as the president did each of Maynard’s famous lines–
“Let’s go downdown and watch them knock down the old Endicott building”
and
“Ooh. Ooh. The Bijoux has the Monster that Devoured Cleveland.”

How do we know it was a serious plot? THE BRITS ANNOUNCED IT. The White House ecstasy only makes sense if the U.S. voters are to choose between Labor and Tories in November. As of last night night, reports stated that Prime Minister Tony Blair had not informed W until the week-end. One can blame Blair for many things, but outright stupidity isn’t one of them. W would have probably blurted out something about the investigation while waiting for his portion of pork and bread at a political rally. He has proven his capability of doing just that.
