Why do I believe this story? The clause, “because it sounds so right,” comes to mind. Almost forty years after having chuckled at RAMPARTS articles as having been humorous flights of fancy, I now believe them to be true and after having witnessed the daily un-American drivel and brazen deceit gushing from the White House, belief in the Capitol Hill Blue Rant is certainly not forsaking reality. Let our fearless leader’s own words settle the discussion. W: “There’s an old saying in Tennessee. I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee, that says: “Fool me once…” (embarrassing pause) “… shame on…” (an agonizing pause) “Shame on you…” (an incredibly forlorn pause) “If fooled, you can’t get fooled again.” Was the president was attempting to cover two famous WHO renditions—WON’T GET FOOLED AGAIN and MY GENERATION?
